A Youth Running Club in Burundi is helping young people believe in bigger futures. What began as simple training in local communities is now opening doors beyond borders. In April, Giramahoro Josaphat from Gitega represented Burundi in an international boxing competition in Morocco, while Arcy Arky from Muyinga finished second in a regional 2000m race with an impressive time of 6:39:40.

As we enter our 31st year, we do so with confidence and humility. We believe lasting transformation happens as the local church is equipped and empowered to lead, and we remain committed to walking alongside them.
As it says in 1 Corinthians 13:13, “faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” This continues to guide us.

In Kilembwe, DRC, churches chose unity over isolation and turned compassion into action. Through Life In Abundance’s guidance, pastors began meeting regularly and decided to stand together for the most vulnerable among them 59 orphans in their congregations. Each church gave what they could, and together they raised funds to provide food and practical support.

In 2014, one man attended a Life In Abundance training in Djibouti and carried a vision back home to Somaliland. Inspired and equipped, Mursahal opened Loyado’s first school with 35 students. Today, 182 children are learning in safe classrooms, fifteen have advanced to secondary school, and his two farms are generating income, jobs, and food security for the community.

In the rural villages of Kisaru and Karama in Kikube District, where access to healthcare is often out of reach, Love in Action showed up. Through a four-day medical outreach led by LIA – Uganda in partnership with In His Name Ministry, 1,490 people received essential care, including general consultations and dental treatment. 189 women and girls also received reusable sanitary pads, restoring dignity and helping girls stay confidently in school. Supported by local churches and community health workers, the initiative brought practical care and renewed hope for families.

In July 2025, Pastor Chol shared encouraging news from the Ain Shams Evangelical Church Dinka community. Four women in his congregation had just completed a two-month sewing training. They asked for sewing machines so they could begin producing garments from the church center and earn an income for their families. It was a simple request, yet deeply significant. It reflected a shift from waiting for help to stepping forward in faith.

JAMAICA RESTORATION AFTER HURRICANE
In December, LIA – Jamaica stepped into storm-affected communities not just with relief supplies and presence. Across five communities, including Beeston Spring in Westmoreland, families received health screenings, mental health support, care packages, and Scripture.
Men showed up in strong numbers to represent their households, listening deeply and engaging openly, while 44 Jamaica New Testament listening devices helped families gather around God’s Word during Christmas.
One grieving mother, who had buried her daughter just two days earlier and lost part of her home to the hurricane, accepted prayer and counseling support. As she quietly shared, “I thought the storm had taken everything, but today, I feel seen again.”
Moments like these remind us that wholistic ministry does more than respond to disaster; it restores dignity and rekindles hope where it’s needed most.
The growing influence of the Global Missions Conferences.
The Global Mission Conference (GMC), hosted every year by Life in Abundance International, continues to grow as a key platform for mobilizing the Church toward a wholistic mission. On average, about 1,000 people attend regional gatherings in Africa and the Caribbean, including church leaders, students, professionals, and mission-minded organizations.
Over time, more partners and organizations have joined, providing resources, expertise, and support. With plenary sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities, the conference continues to inspire collaboration and equip believers to create lasting, Christ-centered impact in communities.
The launch of Called for Purpose by Dr. Florence Muindi.
In 2025, Dr. Florence Muindi launched her book Called for a Purpose, which shares the key values that have guided Life in Abundance International for over 30 years: Governance, Calling (Mission & Vision), and Accountability.
The launch was held in September at the Life in Abundance Hotel and Training Center with about 50 participants, including key partners who helped make the book possible. It was later publicly unveiled during the Global Missions Conference Africa.
The local church-led multiplication efforts in 2025.
In 2025, 171 partner churches received capacity-building support through WTD programs. Across 2022–2026, 633 churches have reported increased local giving, and 615 churches have seen higher attendance—showing stronger leadership, stewardship, and spiritual engagement.
A key outcome of 2025 was multiplication: churches planted 44 new churches and supported 97 second- and third-generation churches; many now run their own WTD training.

As Life In Abundance enters 2026, we do so with realism and hope. The contexts where we serve remain complex, as communities across East Africa and fragile settings like Sudan face conflict, economic strain, climate pressures, and displacement. Yet we continue to see steady transformation through local churches and leaders faithful to their communities.
Over the past year, our teams in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda have strengthened program delivery and alignment around our wholistic, church-centered model. Investments in leadership, integration, and systems have kept the work locally rooted and globally connected. Communities are also growing in leadership and resource mobilization, moving toward greater sustainability.
Across our global network, collaboration continues to deepen. Our Ministry Support Offices in the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe help mobilize partners and support work on the ground.
Through it all, the local church remains at the center of transformation. With gratitude and hope, we step into 2026 trusting God to continue unleashing hope for generations to come.
