21,000 children die silently every day from preventable and treatable diseases. More than 1.3 billion people live below the extreme poverty line with less than $1.25 a day. Perhaps most troubling of all, the most vulnerable and marginalized have no voice and no ability to respond to the systems and power structures that keep these realities exactly the way they are.
It is time to for us to Transform. Together.
As believers and followers of Jesus, it is time to push against the tide of disease, famine, illiteracy, extreme poverty and injustice. Across the world and in our own backyards, we must Transform. Together. to bring about healthy, lasting change in hurting communities across the world.
God calls us to take part in his transforming work and promises that we, too, will be transformed in the process. But how can we serve 'the least of these' in a healthy way?
At LIA, we take an integrated approach to mobilizing the local Church to restore health, renew hope and inspire lasting transformation for the world's most vulnerable families.
